Another example:- finding the notes of the G Major Scale
First stand over the note of G. This is called the Tonic (T)
G is your 1st note. Your starting note
Now take 2 steps right. 1st step G# to 2nd step A (A is your 2nd note)
Now take 2 steps right. 1st step A# to 2nd step B (B is your 3rd note) etc…
Just continue following the pattern you memorized before
T 2 2 1 2 2 2 1

The notes of the G Major Scale are -
I II III IV V VI VII I (Octave)
G - A - B - C - D - E - F# - and back to G again
Notice that the G Major Scale has One Black Note the
Note of F sharp (G flat) F#/Gb.
For guitarists black and white notes are irrelevant
